Hyderabad: The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board’s grand roadshow on theme of ‘Green, Clean & Safe Madhya Pradesh’ in Hyderabad on Thursday aimed at showcasing the state’s incredible tourism offerings. The MPTB highlighted the tourism offerings of the state including Heritage, Wildlife, Offbeat, Spiritual, Cultural and most importantly Safe tourism.
In a first of its kind, the MP tourism board inducted 10,000 women staff to ensure the safety and comfort of women solo travellers. Speaking at the event, Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, said, “We have trained around 10,000 local women in various sectors of hospitality industry to ensure safety of women travellers. From gypsy drivers to cooks, you will find most of the women employees at all tourist destinations in the state.”

Expressing her satisfaction, she said, “We are delighted with the outcome of roadshow in Hyderabad. It reaffirms our belief in the importance of collaboration within the tourism industry. The partnership forged during this event will undoubtedly enhance tourism prospects for Madhya Pradesh.”
The roadshow delivered the state’s offering especially spiritual offering from two Jyotirlingas, Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, the Raja Ram Lok, Devi Lok in Salkanpur, Shaktipeeth and the tallest statue of Adi Shankracharya in India (108 ft.) in Omkarsehawar.

With a massive surge in tourist footfalls from 34.1 million in 2022 to 112.1 million in 2023, Madhya Pradesh has set a new tourism record. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Madhya Pradesh’s tourism sector and Hyderabad’s local stakeholders.
